Siena is located in one of the most beautiful
regions in Italy: Tuscany, with
its cities of medieval art and charming countryside:
woods which mark out the horizon, the sweeping
curves of the hills opening onto dirt roads, lines
of cypress trees, attractive expanses of olive
trees and vineyards.
First Etruscan and then Roman, today it has substantially
maintained its characteristics of the medieval
era, that of its greatest splendour; walls, buildings,
small squares, narrow alleyways and, above all,
the warm, rich colours of the red bricks: “the
scorched land of Siena”, unique
to the world.
Today it is a small university town with all
modern conveniences and a high quality of life.
It is completely closed to traffic and you can
walk around comfortably day and night. One of
the most appealing qualities of Siena is in fact
that it is a very safe city.
The city provides its visitors with rich treasures
of works of art, monuments, traditions and with
the wonderful array of tastes of its cuisine.
It offers a wide range of cultural activities
in all seasons: exhibitions, festivals of classical
and jazz music, dance and the most anticipated
occasion: The Palio (2nd July
and 16th August) in the charming Piazza del Campo,
the heart of the city.
Siena is all of this: an ideal environment
for you to conquer with us your challenge
with the Italian language and to live an unforgettable
adventure. |
